Being an Exceptional Leader
More than you ever imagined

Dr. John Thinnes

In his new book, Being an Exceptional Leader, John draws on the knowledge he gained through teaching, managing, consulting, and research to answer two questions:
· What does it mean to be a leader today?
· What does it take to move beyond the leaders we are?

Growth is essential for any organization to survive and flourish, and it is equally essential for leaders to prosper. We must never forget that we were not born leaders; instead, we develop into leaders through what we learn from our experiences. Leadership is the most important element in any business, and it is in high demand yet in short supply. Over time, we may forget what we learned that made us leaders, which can disengage us from leadership and lead to unintended consequences. Leaders need to understand what it means to be a leader and what it takes, so they can use game-changing insights to build strong working relationships as they move toward becoming exceptional leaders.

Being an Exceptional Leader was written for those who want to understand what it means to be a leader and what it takes to become more than the leaders they are, or to become exceptional leaders. The book guides the reader in using the knowledge, insights, and skills to create a unique leadership path that shows what to avoid and, most of all, how to choose the beliefs and behaviors that move them toward becoming an exceptional leader, more than they ever imagined.
